Creator Earnings and Payout Policy

How storytellers will earn from subscriptions and how payouts will work.

DraftVersion 0.1Last updated October 8, 2026Not in effect yet

Draft for legal review — not in effect

This document describes how FABILLION is being built. It hasn't been reviewed by lawyers for any country and isn't a binding agreement yet. When a version is approved, its date will be shown here.

The model

Families will subscribe to storytellers. Storytellers earn from those subscriptions, and FABILLION keeps a platform share.

Current status

No payment or payout provider is set up, so nothing is charged and nothing is paid out. The platform share, payout hold period, minimum payout and tax handling are still to be decided.

How earnings will be calculated

For each subscription payment, a fixed record will be kept of:

  • the amount the family paid;
  • the platform share;
  • any provider fees and taxes;
  • what the storyteller earns.

The rates applied are saved with each payment, so a later change never rewrites the past.

Balances

Earnings will move from pending to available, may be reserved while a refund or dispute is open, and will be marked paid when paid out. Balances are calculated from these records; nobody edits a balance by hand.

Payouts

Payouts will start once a payout provider is set up. Payout methods, timing and any minimum amount will be added here then.

Corrections

Corrections are added as new records with a reason. Settled history is never edited.
