Who owns the stories on FABILLION, and what each side may do.

DraftVersion 0.1Last updated October 8, 2026Not in effect yet

Draft for legal review — not in effect

This document describes how FABILLION is being built. It hasn't been reviewed by lawyers for any country and isn't a binding agreement yet. When a version is approved, its date will be shown here.

Stories have owners and origins

Some stories are a storyteller's own work; others come from traditions and communities. FABILLION respects both.

Storytellers keep their rights

Storytellers keep the rights in their stories and recordings. FABILLION's name, design and software belong to FABILLION.

What storytellers allow

By publishing on FABILLION, a storyteller allows FABILLION to host their story and play it to families. The exact scope and length of that permission will be set in the approved Storyteller Agreement.

Traditional stories

A retelling of a traditional story credits the tradition and the community it comes from. A storyteller's own retelling is their work; the tradition itself belongs to no single person.

If you think your rights are infringed

Follow the Rights Disputes and Takedown process. The story can be paused while the claim is reviewed.
